The Youngtown Inn is a classic 1810 farmhouse built proudly upon two centuries of New England heritage. This grand old house was the center of Young family poultry and dairy farm for more than seven generations. Now providing a restaurant as well as bed and breakfast lodging, the heart of the house has been immaculately preserved. The tastefully decorated accommodations, sunny verandas, broad pumpkin pine floors, and brick fireplaces capture the warm feel of beautiful rural Maine.
Six guestrooms, each lavishly decorated and immaculately kept, await your arrival. The lovely lodgings all have private baths and modern amenities for added convenience. Two of the rooms offer a cozy fireplace for a romantic glow. Some rooms offer queen canopy or sleigh beds and balconies. Comfortable beds, fine linens, and spacious surroundings make each room a delight at the Youngtown Inn.
Included in your stay is a full gourmet breakfast created and presented by your hosts, Manuel and Mary Ann Mercier. Your day may begin with juice and fresh fruits followed by home-baked muffins and croissants. Specialty breakfast entrees may include French toast filled with apples and walnuts, Maine blueberry pancakes with Grand Marnier sauce, or delicious egg delicacies. Freshly brewed coffee and tea are always available.
The Youngtown Inn Restaurant offers elegant dining in gracious surroundings. Chef/owner Manuel Mercier draws upon his French heritage and European training to create an array of traditionally prepared dishes. Lobster ravioli, rack of lamb and creme brulee have been the theme for many culinary writers. Your hosts are extremely proud and grateful to have been reviewed and featured in local as well as national publications.
