Yale Manor Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located in the heart of Finger Lakes wine country. Tucked away on ten private acres with views of beautiful Seneca Lake, Yale Manor is seven miles south of Geneva--one of the top 100 Best Small Cities in the United States.
Originally built in the early 1900's, Yale Manor was the main structure of an impressive 365-acre farm complex built for a Mr. James Macdonald from New York City. Mr. Macdonald, president of the Queen Insurance Co. and U.S. manager for Royal Insurance Co. of Liverpool, England used Yale Manor as a weekend retreat. A Yale graduate, he had all the buildings painted or trimmed with "Yale Farm Grey" paint. After his death, the manor house went through various transformations. In a seriously deteriorated state, the structure was rescued in 1995 and has since been restored to its former glory.
