The Westview Sunset Suite, the Northwest first floor wing of this large Prairie-style historic landmark, is both distinguished and cozy. Entering the suite through your own private porch framed with "pine trees", you encounter a retreat with two antique oak rockers that invite you to return later for a game of checkers. Then, come into your living room with its plush leather couch and wingback chair, each draped with a soft throw and soft light from the prism glass window to the West. Overhead, a stained glass lamp in topaz and blues warmly lights the oak dining table and chairs. Write a note at the rolled-top desk, its cubbyholes stuffed full of brochures on area activities and attractions. French doors open to a separate bedroom with a cozy down-filled comforter nestled on the queen sized cast iron bed. A comfy upholstered rocker and an antique dresser belie the modern comforts of the TV, VCR, DVD player, AM-FM radio, CD player, and accompanying selections for each nearby. The bath features antique fixtures, including a large claw foot tub and pedestal sink with beveled mirror crowned with a garland of sunflowers Behind the bathroom door hang luxurious robes and slippers. The kitchen, curtained in panels of white lace, has all of the amenities and, to help you feel at home, it is stocked with goodies such as gourmet cocoas, coffees, teas, and popcorn, (oh, and don't forget the peanut M&M jar), lots of soda and bottled water, and specialty items tailored to the occasion.
Experience a relaxing getaway, great for a wedding night, anniversary, "friend/family" reunion, birthday, shower, business stay, or "just because".
