The Auberge Walker Inn in Pictou invites you to experience the charm and elegance of a by-gone era.
Built in 1876 -1877, the Inn is now a Registered Historical Building. This stately building has operated in multiple manifestations in its lifetime so far. John A. Stalker, the original owner, and his son Alex operated a bank, a crockery and home decorating store, and a grocery store in the building at various times. Since then the building has housed apartments, an insurance office, a local politician's office and the town library.
The building is now an inn providing quality hospitality to travellers from all over the world.
The Inn is conveniently situated within walking distance of all attractions and historic sites in Pictou.

Access to this suite is via your own front door from the street. A small lobby with original sandstone walls and huge skylights greets you and leads you into a sitting room boasting birch floors, 12 ft. high ceilings, huge windows, kitchenette, and also direct entry to the foyer of the Inn itself.
The kitchenette is comprised of microwave, coffee-maker, fridge, two elements and fully equipped with cutlery, chinaware, and pots and pans.
Down the passage is the large bathroom sporting a whirlpool bath and pedestal sink, all with assistance bars for greater safety.
The queen bedroom has a door to the private sunken patio at the back of the building. The patio is sheltered from the sun and is extremely private.
