Nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, in Paradise Township, Lancaster County, Verdant View Farm B&B is a 118-acre dairy and crop farm operated by the Ranck family for over 90 years. Verdant View Farm is one of the longest operating Farm B&Bs in the lower Susquehanna Valley, and has been receiving guests since 1967.
Experience rural life on the farm--hand milk a cow, bottle feed a calf, fish in the farm pond, feed the ducks, enjoy the graceful swans, hike the "back 40." Children and adults will enjoy playing with the farm pets, including kittens, Snipper the farm dog, Happy Doe, Bucky Beau, and Oreo the goats, Manoel the miniature donkey, bunnies, and exotic egg-laying hens with two roosters who crow in the morning to help you WAKE UP IN LANCASTER COUNTY!
Join the family for a full farm breakfast each morning at 08:30 (not Sundays), which includes home-grown meats with fresh eggs, icy cold milk, local Amish-made yogurt, pies, seasonal fruits, and breads with home-made jam and Land O' Lakes butter.
Located a mile east of Strasburg on Rt. 741, Verdant View Farm B&B is located near most PA Dutch country attractions (most of our farm neighbors are Amish), and the farm is very close to the train attractions of Strasburg. The Strasburg Railroad steam trains chug right through the field in full view of our 5-room farmhouse and 4-room guesthouse.
Don Ranck and Ginny Ranck, who are fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and conversant in Spanish, and their family and employees (one of whom speaks Spanish and German, another speaks PA Dutch) welcome you to WAKE UP IN OUR LANCASTER COUNTY HERITAGE in Paradise!
