Welcome to the Verandahs Bed and Breakfast. We are near everything you need for a great vacation or just a weekend getaway. A sandy beach and boat launch are just steps away on Lake Simcoe and a short drive takes you to fine dining, summer theatre, golf, mountain biking, shopping, boat cruises, historic sites, wildlife areas and great scenery. We are just 15 minutes to Barrie and 10 minutes to Orillia. Our house sits amid wide lawns and is surrounded by flower beds. Our numerous bird houses are always occupied and there seems to be a waiting list! The trees also contain many nests and our birdbath and feeders are well used. Our summer guests always enjoy a quiet afternoon on the verandahs, cooled by the lake breezes and serenaded by bird songs. Comfortable chairs and lounges are provided and many of our guests have found it difficult to leave to enjoy the numerous attractions of the area.

A Winter visit to The Verandahs will put you in the centre of numerous activities including ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross-country and downhill skiing as well as several winter carnivals hosted by the communities in the area. Coffee, tea and other beverages, along with cookies are available for snacks at the upstairs buffet whenever you like. We offer our guests service in English and French.
