Enjoy one of the 30 fireplace family cottages, or our Inn or lake shore family studio or suite. And leave all the meals, dishes, and housekeeping to us.
Both family cottages and family suites feature a separate bedroom for parents with air-conditioning and queen bed, one to four children's bedrooms, full bath, and kitchenette. The majority also have a living room and an open deck or screened porch.
Accommodations aren't ritzy, but they have a nice Vermont country flavor (lots of antiques around and about.)
Our informal, Vermont country Inn includes glassed-in porch, fireside lounges, recreation rooms, dining rooms and dining porches.
Meals at the Tyler Place Family Resort are always fresh, simple and surprisingly elegant, prepared by a health-conscious kitchen staff (who aren't afraid of chocolate and butter either!).
Breakfast consists of lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade baked goods (muffins, scones, pastries), bagels, pancakes or waffles, eggs served many ways and often Vermont produced sausage, ham, or bacon. Be sure to try our own homemade Tyler Place granola. Friends and family produce our Vermont maple syrup and Vermont honey.
Lunches and dinners feature casual, creative dining. We lean toward a Mediterranean/American Bistro style of cooking using the freshest of ingredients in season--simply prepared, colorfully presented, and heartily enjoyed. With both innovative and down-home choices, our meals feature a good selection of meat and vegetarian dishes, fish, pastas, long simmered soups, homemade breads, fresh vegetables and salads-frequently grown by our nearby Vermont farm neighbors. Desserts range from properly decadent chocolate cakes to fruit cobblers with daily appearances of our own Vermont Ben & Jerry's ice creams and sorbets. All our meals are served buffet style, giving you opportunity to sample everything and then go back for seconds! And of course, because The Tyler Place Family Resort is an all-inclusive resort, you get to try anything and everything.
And remember! At night, luxury of luxuries...the chance to unwind over a candlelit dinner, just the two of you (or with friends) knowing your kids have dined earlier and are off waterskiing, playing games or on a hayride. Relax...have another glass of wine...
Your kids too will enjoy a wide selection of healthy foods (as well as some old standbys such as pizza and chicken nuggets), served buffet style in their own dining rooms with their counselors during group times. We aim for a good balance between what kids like to eat, and what you'd like them to eat.
Family breakfast is available everyday. For family lunches or a family excursion, you can order a picnic basket with an evening's notice at The Front Desk (at no extra charge).
Complete information on meals and lodging is available in our brochures and special leaflets.
