Putnam Station, New York

(TLC Inn) is a place where you can be pampered and refreshed, surrounded by nature's beauty in upstate New York. Escape the hectic, hurry-up world, relax and experience the ambiance, gracious hospitality and pleasant solitude of the past. Our Adirondack Inn is a restored c. 1870 Victorian, generously decorated with period antiques, original woodwork and authentic wall coverings. Each guest room has been renovated to exceed expectations of comfort and tranquility. Antique furniture, handmade quilts, fluffy terry robes, Casablanca ceiling fans and spacious baths enhance your experience. Located on the shores of Lake Champlain in the Adirondack Mountains, part of the six million acre Adirondack Park, The Lake Champlain Inn (TLC Inn B&B) sits on 130 acres nestled on a hillside on the shores of Lake Champlain, overlooking the Green Mountains of Vermont to the east... and the Adirondack Mountains surrounding Lake George to the west. Adjacent state land is great for hiking, snow-shoeing or cross country skiing. This charming, newly renovated Victorian bed and breakfast was constructed in 1870 by the Graham brothers. It was one of three homes they built in the area. It features many special effects including hand-crafted woodwork and moldings, a hung chimney in the kitchen, a stone foundation 24" thick, and original red maple wood flooring. It offers magnificent views, gracious hospitality and ambiance of a bygone era, with modern conveniences, candlelight breakfasts, romantic fireplace setting, relaxation and solitude. It's a photographers' paradise. Awake to the aroma of gourmet coffee and view spectacular sunrises from the wraparound porch. Or, spend the early evening on the porch watching the sun set over the Adirondack Mountains. Have breakfast in the elegant dining room or outside on the porch. Enjoy afternoon tea with decadent sweets. This property was the original ferry crossing between New York and Vermont, featured in National Geographics in the late 1980s. You can still walk down the old ferry landing road and enjoy the private fishing jetty. Explore numerous trails through the woods on foot, snow-shoe or cross-country skiis. Create new memories while exploring the scenic countryside and nature trails. Easy boat access to both Lake George and Lake Champlain.
