The Wild Rose Place offers a tranquil, unspoiled setting with a spectacular view. We are situated right on, and overlooking Kootenay Lake and the Purcell Mountains. This large property is in harmony with nature, conveying a true Kootenay feeling. Take a stroll through 'Octopuses Garden' where we display an eclectic collection of sculptures. Build your own Inukshuk as a lasting memory to your visit if you like, or sit on one of the benches or in the gazebo to enjoy the view, read a book, watch the birds or simply to daydream. Ursula, an accomplished painter, has her studio / gallery right on the premises, and would be happy to show you her work. As a guest you would be entitled to a discount.

Our elegant guest suite consists of a bedroom (queen size bed) with a window facing the morning sun, and a patio door that opens to the sundeck with your own table, chairs, and lounges. Stepping off the sun deck gives you a shortcut to the outside, no need to go or come back through the front door. The suite also has a comfortable sitting room that is furnished with a sofa-bed, a small fridge, satellite TV / VCR, and a small but good movie selection. And as well of course, it contains your own private bathroom. We serve a full breakfast from 7:30 until 9:30. It is a healthy and delicious multi-course meal that will keep you going all day. In the evening you can expect a glass of Port wine with something sweet.
