The Davis House is a historic Kentucky home that dates back over one hundred years, and is located on Lake Barkley in the city of Kuttawa, a Shawnee Indian word meaning "beautiful." Inside, the rooms feature the old original fireplaces and hardwood floors, offer a spectacular view of Lake Barkley, and are filled with lovely antiques.
The Davis Family, who were in the newspaper business bought this house in August 1953. They moved the house to its present location from old Kuttawa when the lake was flooded. Betty Dixon purchased this home in April 1989 and has restored it for the enjoyment of her guests.
Rooms are $70.00 per night for one or two persons, which includes breakfast. (Prices subject to change). You may relax out on the patio, which overlooks the lake if wish, and watch the squirrels and birds in the adjoining woods. There are docking facilities nearby, and boat dock adjacent to the The Davis House.
