The Summer Inn Bed & Breakfast is a five bedroom historical house with a live-in Innkeeper. The Inn is open year-round. Located at 117 Second Avenue near the heart of downtown Haines, the Inn provides excellent views of the Lynn Canal and is within walking distance to the sites of Haines. The house was built almost 100 years ago by Tim Vogel, a member of Skagway's notorious Soapy Smith gang and a colorful character in the history of Haines.
Start your day with a full homemade breakfast, spend your evening with a good book in our spacious living room, and end your day soaking in Tim Vogel's own bathtub, circa 1912. We invite you to be our guests at The Summer Inn: big enough for privacy, small enough for conversation.
Feel free to browse our website - you can see pictures of the inn, get information on rates and where we are, or find out more about Haines and the Chilkat Valley. And finally, please contact us with any questions or reservation requests.
