Hitchin' Post Lodge is a bed and breakfast in a "story-book" setting located at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains in Story, Wyoming. With over four acres of beautiful wooded grounds along Piney Creek, our facilities are large enough to allow you to be on your own or have fun with a small group while enjoying the beauty around you. Have breakfast by the creek or just enjoy a quiet moment -- we even have a great pool to relax in. Accommodations include a three-bedroom guest house complete with full kitchen, dining and living rooms, fireplace, and a game room/meeting room. The separate "Pool House" suite has a private room with king bed, private bath, kitchenette, and sitting area.
A full size arena on the property and ample paved parking allow guest traveling with a horse or their RV to all settle comfortably at the Hitchin' Post.
Wildlife abounds. Enjoy fishing of all sorts, boating on nearby Lake Desmet, hiking, and biking. There are plenty of opportunities for guided four-wheeling, sightseeing, and horseback riding (the Piney Creek Corrals are next door if you want to go for a trail ride.) Walk to some of the best dining in Wyoming at the Wagon Box Restaurant.
