Located on scenic route 30/100 in the Green Mountains this little bed and breakfast is the perfect place for the budget-minded traveler to experience the bountiful outdoor activities of southern Vermont. After a number of renovations to the 200-year old post and beam farmhouse, Geoff and Christiane, the new owners of the Stone Boat Farm opened in the fall of 2004. Looking at affordable lodgings (“Pensionen ”) in her native Bavaria (Germany) and other European countries, Christiane was inspired to create an easy-going atmosphere for visiting outdoor enthusiasts. Our guests will find four cozy rooms (Stratton Mountain room, Magic Mountain room, Bromley Mountain room, Mount Snow room), adjacent to a gurgling brook, each with private entrances and showers. For guests with prior reservations, a continental breakfast is arranged every morning in the common room, where guests can help themselves to freshly brewed coffee or tea, orange juice, hot and cold cereals, home-made granola, and other breakfast items. The common room is a place where friends can visit in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine, surf the internet, read about the region, play board games, or watch a movie. A microwave and refrigerator can be used to prepare and store small meals.
