WELCOME TO 66 MONTAGUE ROW
This is the accommodation you were hoping to find- reasonable, beautiful rooms decorated and furnished with every detail selected for your comfort and pleasure- smooth cotton sheets, thick towels, good service, good food- and all with a breath stopping view " simply delightful" Kathleen and Frank, Williston Park, New York "tres-jolie gite! Vue splendide! Nicole et Robert, Quebec "we are very impressed with this beautifully decorated place...we felt like home...nobody prepares a better breakfast!" Denise and Heike, Frankfurt and Essen, Germany
The main house, a Victorian Gothic, was built circa 1883 by Captain John Worcester Snow. My husband and I restored and renovated the property and then eclectically furnished it with antiques, art and treasures. The East and North rooms are in the main house; guests have the use of an upstairs reading area with fireplace and the downstairs sitting room.
We also offer a two story guest house which accommodates up to four, perfect for a small family or group. The downstairs has large windows overlooking the ocean and includes a sleeping and spacious living area with wood stove, chandelier, dining table, comfortable upholstered chair, foot stool and adjustable reading lamp. Upstairs is straight out of Peter Pan Land and has two dormer windows with window seats from where one can sit and see the ocean. DVD's, videos, games and a large selection of books are available to guests. The grounds include several gardens and feature dry stone work done by a stonemason from the Clare area. The guest house has its own private deck and garden.
There is ample well lit on site secure parking. The downstairs of each house is wheelchair accessible. We will wash, dry and fold your laundry $4.00 per load. Dry cleaning available at Pharmasave, 1 week turnaround. I serve a multi course home made breakfast cooked with available fresh local produce.
