Ann Starrett Mansion Victorian Bed and Breakfast
744 Clay St
Port Townsend, Washington

The Ann Starrett Mansion is Washington's premier Victorian Hotel and a majestic survivor of the romantic Victorian Age. We have been proudly serving our regional and international guests since 1986. This mansion was built for love by George Starrett as a wedding gift for his wife Ann. It represents American culture, romance, and heritage. The 70-foot soaring tower with its frescoes painted in Ann's image, solar calendar, and dramatic three-tiered free-hung staircase make it one of the most photographed houses in the world. It is truly a unique landmark and a living museum -- an embodiment of Olympian beauty and serene composure. Come and enjoy the warmth of our hospitality.

Other Amenities Details
This magnificent mansion, considered the most elaborate and unique Victorian in Port Townsend, was built by George Starrett for his wife Ann in 1889. Starrett was the city's leading contractor and once boasted that he had built up to 350 houses. His own $6,000 mansion is a successfully integrated mixture of styles. The mansion is now internationally known for its architecture, frescoed ceilings, and free-hung three-tiered staircase which leads to a rare solar calendar at the ceiling of the octagonal tower.
