Other Historical Awards Applied
Our Ranch Headquarters is the wonderful place that the hundreds of original 49r's arrived at after they had endured the many perils of the Great Basin Desert. Historical Diaries of immigrants traveling to California, Oregon and Idaho using the Lassen-Applegate Trail advise it was not uncommon for many wagons to camp here to rest themselves and their livestock befor continuing on through High Rock Canyon to California or through Toll House Canyon to Oregon and Idaho. We are also the site of Historic Camp McGarrey which was founded by the U.S. Calvary in the 1860's to protect travelers on the trails for hostile indians ("Native Americans").
Other Historical Society Memberships
Steeped in History, the historic Soldier Meadows Ranch and the surrounding historic places are long overdue for restorative attention.
