On arrival you hear soft classical music. Fresh flowers await you in your room. The merriment begins with a few tunes on the player piano at afternoon tea. Your bountiful gourmet breakfast begins at the civilized hour of nine a.m. in our candlelit dining rooms in winter or on the shady porch in warm weather. The antique French sideboard is laden with a sumptuous offering that is both healthy and delicious, including a selection of fresh-from-the-oven Sea Crest buttermilk scones and muffins, fresh fruit, granola, hot breakfast entrees, our own special blend of full-bodied, caffeine-reduced coffee, and a wide array of teas. And, don't forget a Sea Crest breakfast tradition - a homemade dessert. A variety of settings from the family collection of china, crystal and silver complement the table and provide a delightful backdrop for a convivial start to the day.
The Sea Crest is a half-block from a quiet beach and the inviting boardwalk. As you start the day's adventures, a stable of bicycles is provided for your pleasure. Back at the inn, play croquet or bocce on the lawn and enjoy soft ocean breezes while relaxing on the veranda. Teatime features Sea Crest sweets and savories and is the perfect time for your hosts to make dinner reservations for you at one of our fine local restaurants. Upon your return from dinner, after-dinner cordials are waiting in the dining room.
