Come and experience the sweet smell of the country!
Join your hosts Danny and Kari Peterson and their family at their country acreage. Situated in the beautiful Tawatinaw Valley less than 90 minutes North of Edmonton and 10 minutes South of Athabasca, Alberta.
Awaken to the sounds of birds chirping and squirrels chattering in our large cedar home overlooking the Tawatinaw river. We are surrounded by field and forest where many species of birds and animals abound. There are lots of trails and country roads to run, hike, bike or trail ride. We are close to the Trans Canada Trail and historic Athabasca Landing Trail. Many area lakes and parks that offer excellent fishing, boating and swimming are close by.
The Town of Athabasca is home to a beautiful 18-hole golf course overlooking the Athabasca river. You will also find a indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, library, skating and curling rinks, tennis courts and ball diamonds and cross country ski trails. Take a historical walk through town or walk the riverfront on the Heritage Trail. Visit Athabasca University, the Performing Arts Centre, Alberta Pacific Pulp Mill or the largest rural Canada Day festival in Western Canada. See events for more on what's happening around us.
