Placentia Newfoundland Placentia is located on the Avalon Peninsula, on a route called the Cape Shore tour conveniently close to many popular spots including Argentia, Gooseberry Cove, Ship Harbour and Cape St. Mary's. This route links with the Irish Loop drive, the Baccalieu Trail, the Killick Coast, Cape Spear Drive, Admiral's Coast, and is only one and a half hour drive from St. John's. We are only five kilometers from the Argentia ferry terminal, one of the main links between Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Don't forget to visit some of the local attractions, including Castle Hill Historic Site, and the O'Reilly House Museum. It is possible to stay in Placentia and make day trips to all of the above locations. If you arrive on the ferry, or make day trips, be prepared for a comfortable and quiet Newfoundland bed and breakfast at the end of your day.
