Welcome to Pilot Bay Resort on Kootenay Lake, in the southeast corner of British Columbia, Canada. Kootenay Lake is BC's third largest natural lake and was used as the main transportation link by early prospectors and settlers who laid the foundations for the first mines and towns in the Kootenay area. The scenic lake is still the chosen route for modern travelers; walk-on and drive-on commuters cross the lake daily on one of two ferries.
The large photo above shows the Kokanee Glacier, as seen from Kootenay Bay. Inset is a photo of the Osprey 2000, the newest ferry. The eastern terminal at Kootenay Bay is just moments from Pilot Bay Resort.
