Things to do in Indialantic, Florida
This small, quaint town is between the intracoastal waterway (Indian River Lagoon) and the Atlantic Ocean. Indialantic (Melbourne Area) is famous for surfing, and the large amount of sea turtle nesting, and surf fishing. On the opposite end of the boardwalk you can rent - bikes, surf boards, body boards, roller blades, jet skis, etc. Many restaurants, diners, hair salons, surf shops and coffee shops are all within walking distance (2 blocks). Two miles away, over the bridge, is the historic downtown Melbourne, great restaurants, gift shops, antiques, fine boutiques, fine wine shops, coffee shops and a wonderful small theater (The Phoenix), and the Henegar Center.
If you love boating you can rent boats or jet skis to explore the tiny islands and their sandy beaches in the intracoastal waterway (Indian River Lagoon). You'll be sure to see a lot of marine life (dolphin, manatee, fish, conch shells, etc.) There are also restaurants and bars on the water that you can get to by boat.
