Country Willows Bed & Breakfast
1289 Larkin Road, RR#6
Niagara on the Lake, Ontario

Country Willows is a Bed & Breakfast home located down a quiet country road. Just 5 minutes to the north sits the old town section of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. Our Cape Cod style home was built in 1989 with a bed & breakfast wing being added in 1996. It is situated on 5 peaceful acres with open areas for walking, and treed and pond areas for sitting and soaking up the country ambiance. Ten minutes south is Niagara Falls. A few minutes to the east gets you to the bank of the Niagara River and a few more minutes down river from there puts you on the south shore of Lake Ontario. Fruit farms and vineyards are plentiful and the area is known for its estate wineries. The town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is home of the famous Shaw Theatres where for eight months of the year hundreds of performances of various plays by George Bernard Shaw and his contemporaries take place. The area is a true tourists' delight with a thousand and one things to see and do. Country Willows, with its separate bed & breakfast wing, provides a quiet oasis where you can begin and end your day with the utmost in privacy and comfort.

Other Amenities Details
In the bed & breakfast wing of the house we have three bedrooms, and because we are in a wine-making region, each is named after a variety of grape. The bed & breakfast is air conditioned throughout and elegantly decorated. Each room has its own writing desk and ensuite bathroom with tub/shower unit. The rooms are supplied with toiletries, sewing kit, iron and ironing board. The two larger rooms each have a sitting area with wing chair, table and sofa. The small room has its own cube fridge while the upstairs rooms share a bar-size fridge in an alcove of the upper landing. There are soft drinks and fruit juices available in the fridges. All rooms have their own radio/alarm clock and each room is lockable. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Pinot Noir Room is wedgewood blue with white trim. It has a queen-size bed in cherrywood and wrought iron with matching night tables. The room has its own cube fridge built into the wall to hold refreshments. Overhead is a ceiling fan to assist in aclimatizing the room to your preference. A white wicker writing desk with matching chair sits in a corner for letter writing, brochure reading or business matters. Additionally, you'll find an ensuite bathroom with stylish acoutrements and a good sized closet complete with ironing board and iron. Unlike the other two rooms, the Pinot Noir Room has its own outside door which will lead, when finished, to a private courtyard and the parking area. The Chardonnay Room is decorated in a forest green with white trim and doors. Like its sister, the Gewâ¼rztraminer Room, this room has a twelve foot bank of windows. A view to the east shows some of the grounds, farm country, horse corrals and even the U.S. of A. on the distant skyline. A patina wicker writing desk is tucked beneath a sloped ceiling and a king-size maple sleighbed with cherry finish make up some of the tasteful furnishings. A sitting area includes a large wing chair and very comfortable sofa which, if needed, will fold out to make an additional bed. The room has a walk-in closet with iron and ironing board. Like the other rooms, the Chardonnay Room has its own radio/alarm clock and ceiling fan. A "blushing pink" ensuite bathroom displays a charming country view from its large window. The Gewâ¼rztraminer Room is the mirror of its sister, the Chardonnay Room. Both rooms sit back to back, separated by a soundproofed wall. The room is painted in a mulberry, reminiscent of lilac and has white trim and doors. The effect is quite stunning and rich-looking. It too has a patina wicker writing desk and chair. The king-size bed in dark walnut finish sits between matching oversized night tables. This room, as well, has both a wing chair and sofabed for its sitting area. From its large bank of windows one sees the surrounding countryside, the neighbouring greenhouses and the Niagara Escarpment trailing off westward. An ensuite bathroom, painted "dusty green" has a rustic view up the drive toward the road and the farmhouse and peach trees beyond.
