Thibodaux, Louisiana

Come find the magic beneath the moss-laden oaks, walk the banks of Bayou Lafourche, take a stroll in Thibodaux's historic downtown where renovated 19th century homes with New Orleans style wrought-iron balconies front Canal Blvd. Thibodaux has a Cajun heritage with lots of crawfish, jambalaya, seafood gumbo, weekend festivals, Mardi Gras parades and an annual volunteer Fireman's Fair. Thibodaux has the Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center, which is part of the Jean Laffite National Historical Park & Preserve. Nested in the center of the South's Oil Patch, Thibodaux is rich in sugarcane farming, manufacturing and oil & gas industry. Thibodaux is home to Nicholls State University and Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and Cameco. Thibodaux is located in the heart of Cajun Country, just fifty miles southwest of New Orleans and 12 miles north of Houma. Thibodaux is known as the "Gateway to Bayou Country", minutes away from the best outdoor recreation in the south. It is a friendly city of culture, warmth and charm. The Naquin's ranch-style home was built in 1965 by the Naquin's. It has 2 bed rooms downstairs with a private bath and 2 bedrooms upstairs with a private bath. Enjoy nature and your morning coffee on the patio and breakfast in the family dining room. Their home can host eight to ten people at a time (five couples). Also to accommodate tour groups, they are associated with six other bed and breakfast families in Thibodaux. Enjoy Cajun hospitality with a family of Acadian descent. The Naquins were born and raised in Thibodaux with Cajun French as their native language. Upon attending school, they had to learn the English language. Throughout their lives they have enjoyed sharing their home and heritage with both domestic and foreign travelers. They value the opportunity to host your next visit to the beautiful bayou country. Frank and Joyce welcome you to the Cajun experience. They invite you to come and pass a good time at Naquin's Bed and Breakfast.
