The Music Ranch is a bed & breakfast and music lesson establishment owned and operated by Ruth & John Bruins. The Bruins Family originally lived in Switzerland moving to Canada in September of 2000 to open their own private company. They bring the following list of impressive credentials to their unique and succesful business. Ruth Bruins Ruth was born in Biel/Bienne (Switzerland) - Studied at the Music Academies of Winterthur and Biel/Bienne (Switzerland) - Masterclass for Flute with André Jaunet in the Provence (France) - Flute, Recorder and Guitar Teacher for many years in Switzerland. - Conducted Ladies' Choirs and Mixed Choirs - Since 2001 co-owner of the Music Ranch, Stony Plain John Bruins John was born in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) - Studied at the Music School in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Music Academy of Biel/Bienne and Swiss Music Pedagogic Association (Switzerland) - Music Teacher for many years in Ipsach (Switzerland) - Vocal Teacher (Private and in the Bach Choir of Berne, Switzerland) - Choral Conductor of several Ladies', Men's, Mixed and Children's/Youth Choirs. - President of the Music Committee of Choral Federation SAS in Switzerland and member of the Music Board of the IDOCO (Internationale des Organisations culturelles Ouvriéres) a European Choral Federation. - Adjudicator in Choral Festivals. - Invited guest on many Choral events all over Europe. - Since 2001 co-owner of the Music Ranch, Stony Plain

In our B&B we want to give our guests, from all over the world, a rural hospitality. We have 2 guest rooms (Handel -and Schubert Room). The Handel room has two twin beds, and the Schubert room has a queen bed. Both rooms have a private bathroom. The guest rooms are in a self-contained suite with a living room, the kitchen has a stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The suite has direct access to our yard with lots of possibilities (patio set, pick nick tables, fire pit, basketball, badminton and more). The use of our Music Room (60 m2 or 672 sq. ft.) is possible for interested guests. We serve a European style breakfast with homemade bread and jams, cold cuts and cheese. Our coffee comes from an espresso center with many possibilities and we serve several different teas.
