Misty Mountain Inn is a Victorian farmhouse renovated to provide four spacious guest rooms. Furnished with antiques and queen-sized bed, each room has private bath and fireplace. Three rooms have balconies. Complimentary breakfast is available until noon for Inn guests. Pets cannot stay in the Inn, however, they are welcome in any of the six mountainside cottages in the surrounding woods.

Mountains full of Activities 2 hours from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Asheville ... 1 hour to Ocoee & Chattooga Whitewater ... less than 1/2 hour to John Campbell Folk School, Young Harris College, Georgia State Fair, Helen & Blue Ridge Scenic Railway ... minutes to trout fishing, riding stable, golf course, hiking trails, boating & beaches, antique and craft shops & restaurants. All six tin-roofed cottages are spread across four acres on the wooded mountain side behind the Inn. Each cottage has country rockers and a charcoal grill on its private porch. All have a wood-burning fireplace, full bath with tub/shower combination, and air-conditioning & heat. Kitchens include microwave, coffee maker and toaster. They are equipped with dishes, pots, pans, glassware and basic eating and cooking utensils. Coffee & filters, tea, sugar, coffeemate, and salt & pepper are in each kitchen along with dish soap, towels and napkins. Wood is provided for the fireplace, but not charcoal for the grills. Other supplies can be found at the country store down the road or at Ingles or Bi-Lo grocery stores in town. Also, many restaurants are available, and most permit patrons to bring their beer or wine because Union County is "dry". None of the accommodations have ringing phones. But, you are welcome to use the Inn's telephone for local or credit card calls Just for Two - Dogwood, Maple & Rose Cottages Hidden behind a stream and willow tree, Maple has a four-poster bed covered with quilts and sitting beside a jacuzzi tub. There's a full bath, too, a TV/VCR with Dish Network reception and limited cooking, with a microwave and under-the-counter refrigerator. Its ground-level porch provides handicap access. Step up to sleep in the antique raised brass bed in Rose Cottage. Its porch, with Victorian front door, is surrounded by pine, locust and flowering crabapple trees. The bath has a whirlpool tub. There's a TV/VCR combo with satellite reception. Perched among tulip and dogwood trees, you can catch your favorite late show on the Dish Network satellite TV from Dogwood's canopy bed. More than Two -- Pinecone, Poplar & Oak Cottages Lofted bedroom cottages are ideal for longer stays and do accommodate more than two. All offer satellite television. Oak's first floor has a large living-dining-kitchen area and a separate bedroom with queen-bed. Upstairs are two full-sized beds in the lofted bedroom. No more than six people, please. Both Poplar and Pinecone cottages offer a loft bedroom that includes both queen and twin beds. Downstairs living area includes a sofa bed in addition to the eat-in kitchen and bath. No more than three people, please.
