Location Mill Street Bed & Breakfast is a Canada Select Four-and-a-Half Star accommodation located at the entrance area to Cape Breton Island, in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia. Easy to find, we are only 5 minutes from the Canso Causeway, the only link to Cape Breton Island. Mulgrave is a typical example of a relaxed rural Nova Scotia community nestled in a serene, picturesque coastal setting. Situated on the body of water known as the Strait of Canso, Mulgrave is a neighboring community to the town of Port Hawkesbury. Our Home Our home, located on a large, private property offers a peaceful and quiet setting for our guests. Guests frequently comment on the peacefulness of the surroundings. Our Cape Cod home with traditional decor and selected antiques, offers two beautiful suites for our guests. In the creation of these suites, every effort was made to ensure our guests have a pleasant and enjoyable experience. All the amenities of a four-and-a-half star and necessary for your comfort are included such as: remote air conditioning, ceiling fans, light dimmer switches, heat lamps, hair dryers, luggage racks, ample storage/closet space, alarm clock radios, access to telephone internet and fax, satellite TV in suites. Suites Our two suites are located on the 2nd floor of our Cape Cod home. The front entrance and 2nd floor are for guests only. The suites are spacious with traditional decor, featuring selected antiques. Each suite has ensuite bath and ensuite sitting room. Both suites have satellite TV housed in armoires. Beds Our beds feature very comfortable queen beds with top-quality mattress and 100% cotton bedding. Breathable, dust-proof mattress and pillow encasings add to the comfort. Our guests frequently comment on the comfort of our beds. Breakfast Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 9:00AM in our air-conditioned dining room. Our antique furnished dining room features a south-facing bay window with cheerful morning sun rays, setting the tone for a happy relaxed breakfast experience. Breakfast is a healthy, home-cooked and delicious meal. A continental or light breakfast can be arranged, if preferred. Dinner Reservations can be made for nearby excellent dining.
