The Meadows Inn is a European-style home located in the picturesque rolling hills of the Historic Bluff Country of Southeastern Minnesota, within walking distance of Rushford and the paved Root River State Trail - an ideal trail for bikers. If you would like a Bluff Country Map, please click on this link for access to a download that maps the towns and bike trails in the area. "The Meadows" has large windows in every room, each offering a stunning view that changes with the seasons. As you enter the Inn, you are greeted by a large open stairway. The stairway leads from the spacious kitchen to the upstairs parlor. Adjacent to the kitchen is a downstairs sitting room and dining room. Meadows Inn offers you a panoramic view of Rushford's hills and valleys from a secluded, quiet pastoral setting in the wooded bluff country of Southeastern Minnesota. Enjoy squirrels (black ones too!), deer, wild turkeys, songbirds and other wildlife that live in the meadow and pine forest. Wander around the yard to see all of the plants, shrubs and flowers. "The Meadows" has a wonderful patio widely used for relaxation after a long bike ride or other activity. This is a very popular place for our guests to gather to experience total relaxation. The patio is a great place to visit, read, watch the varied and plentiful birds, eat breakfast, or just relax in the midst of nature. On many evenings, the chiminea fireplace is lit and provides a warm and cozy spot to chat in our virtually mosquito-free environment. Come join us and find out for yourself! At "The Meadows", we have a very nice fishpond and surrounding garden area. Step into our developing Hosta and Astilbe garden, pull up a seat and enjoy yourself in relaxed comfort. We have a large yard for playing croquet, and a full-size horseshoe area for our guests to enjoy, both on a complementary basis.
