"The Royal Retreat" is situated four blocks from the center of Historic Lewes, Delaware. The town has a lot of old world charm similar to many small country and coastal towns of Great Britain. Minutes to the Bay, Ocean, and Tax free outlets.
Lars Petersen, a Danish Sea Captain built the house in 1890. He had been shipwrecked on the warm sands off Cape Henlopen after he had sailed his windjammer across the Atlantic Ocean.
The house is a mixture of old English charm, Victorian charisma, with a very strong flavor of British Nautical and Historical items.
