My life... a passion
My life, a succession of many experiences and human contacts in different spheres.
First, seven years of teaching hand crafted decorations to adult have brought me to confect rag dolls which I presented at the Montreal Crafts Show and Art Workers of Quebec.
Following my implication in a humanitarian cause, the deputy of my region contacted me and offered me to be his Press secretary for his cabinet. He later became Minister and for four years I organised press conferences in the Bellechasse, Montmagny and L'Islet county.
The thought of traveling was in my mind so I offered my services to a travelling agency. I put my energies towards regrouping people for over sea destinations. Thanks to many relations and contacts my project is a great success and I became an international tour guide.
During this time, I am persuaded that the europeens greatly appreciate the “Know a country by it's inhabitants ” formula. During 23 years I greet europeens in host families that are selected in the St-Eugene de L'Islet region. I offer them room and board. I also host for them an evening of local quebecer's culture at the city hall, during summer and fall. Winters and springs are devoted to my international tour guide role.
After all these years, I think of my retreat but my love for people and manual work motivates me towards other challenges.
A bed and breakfast sees life and allows me to visit the world without having to move.
