Leisure Cottages is located on Oak Lake in the beautiful Kawarthas north east of Peterborough, Ontario. This lake is semi-private with no public access. Oak Lake is known for great Walleye(Pickerel) and Bass fishing along with Perch and other pan fish. There is also crown land for shore lunches and hiking trips, picnics and swimming. We have 19 housekeeping cottages and boat, motor rentals. We also offer canoe and paddleboat rentals. Bait and a small store is also available for your convience. Open All Year Round Leisure Cottages is open all year round. We sell Fishing and Hunting Licenses along with bait, daily Ice fishing and Hunting is now offered. We have Ice fishing huts with heaters for you avid ice fishing people. Hunting on the crown land is available for deer, bear and small game, we are located in WMU 60A district.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS Attractions near by are Yellow Ribbon Crafts which has beautiful ceramic crafts along with a walk through garden to view. The Gut Conservation Area offers a beautiful hike to a water falls and picnic area. Reptile Zoo located on HWY #7. Havelock Country Jamboree is here in August. Also there's the Warsaw Caves to explore, or take a walk through the Petroglyphs Provincial Park nearby.
