The Kemp House dates back to 1807 when Colonel Joseph Kemp first set its foundation. The superbly crafted home is one of a small collection of large Federal period brick structures in St. Michael's. Elegant Federal details are evident throughout the house. Most notable are the finely carved mantels and center hall staircase. Chair rails, beaded baseboards and heavy pegged and paneled doors are prevalent examples of period craftsmanship.

Cozy antique four-poster rope beds with patch-work quilts and down pillows, along with wing-back sitting chairs and Queen Ann table grace each room.
