Our area features several musuems including the Cornish Colony Museum featuring the art of Maxfield Parrish, Augustus St. Gaudins and others. Windsor also is home to the american Precision Museum which features the largest collection of machine tools in the country and is birthplace to the industrial revolution. The longest covered bridge is the Cornish-Windsor Bridge and there are many covered bridges with in an easy drive. The oldest continuous running post office is in Windsor and Windsor is the birthplace of Vermont.
Historic architecture also dots the landscape of our charming town and the famed ivy league school, Dartmouth College, is only fifteen minutes away. Woodstock, Vermont is another tourist destination and is a picture perfect town only 12 miles from Juniper Hill Inn.
Berry and fruit picking are but a short drive away and farmers markets are abundant. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream is only 70 minutes form the inn and makes the perfect day trip, putting you back at the inn comfortably before dinner time!
NL Wilson is a fly fishing adventure company located in Windsor and there are many other wonderful shops dotting our Main and State Street's including Friends & Company, Three Season's Gift and Antiques, The Knave of Hearts Museum Gift Shop, a great little book store and a wonderful bike shop. Have a demitasse of the best espresso in New England or a great lunch at No Name Cafe in downtown Windsor.
