We are a Pet Friendly B&B with terrific views of the North Saskatchewan River Valley and the championship Blackhawk Golf Course. Five acres of fenced property, and a full kennel, means you can relax and not have to find a sitter for Rover, Harold, Flash, Baby, or whomever. Our location just one mile outside the Edmonton city limits, with close proximity to the Edmonton International Airport, West Edmonton Mall , Devon, Stony Plain, and Spruce Grove makes us convenient for travelers visiting the Greater Edmonton, County of Parkland, or Devon area. Local residents can enjoy a weekend away; just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our two multi-room suites are comfortable and well appointed, spacious for couples, and flexible enough to accommodate large families and small groups traveling together. The Region is rich with opportunities to be entertained. For the active and adventurous, guided fishing and canoeing can be arranged along the North Saskatchewan River. Highrigg overlooks the Rod Whitman designed Blackhawk Golf Course and is only a 10 minute drive from the picturesque Devon Golf and Country Club. Several other excellent golf courses are within a short 30 minute drive. In season, guests may enjoy the excellent dining facility at Blackhawk, a few minute's walk from High Rigg. Nature lovers will appreciate the beauty of the river valley and the opportunity to view several species of birds, deer, coyotes, moose and other wildlife. The Devonian Botanic Garden and the Clifford E Lee Nature Sanctuary are only 10 minutes away. River View Suite A large, charming, East facing room with sloped cedar ceilings. This suite is cosy in winter and air-conditioned in summer. Private entrance with deck provides a great view of the river valley. Relax and enjoy the extra comforts provided (robes, hair dryer, tea and coffee facility, fridge, TV/VCR, books, games, and more). Private bath. Patio Suite Come and relax in this spacious and comfortable suite, which faces East with private patio and entrance. A king bed, fireplace, seating area, ensuite bathroom with double sized shower, robes, hairdryer. coffee/tea facility, fridge, and TV/VCR make this suite perfect for romantic getaways, honeymoons, wedding nights, anniversaries or special occasions!! The Small Print Children are welcome. Please note that we regret that we do not have facilities for very small children. Let us know your needs and we will do our best to accommodate. Well behaved pets are also welcome. We have a full kennel/run and 5 acres of fenced property for their enjoyment. Please advise at time of booking. Smoking is permitted outside. Booking Procedure Please call or email us if you would like to make a reservation at High Rigg. We will require a deposit of one night's accommodation to confirm booking. We accept most credit cards, cheques, money orders or cash. Deposits for cancellations received prior to arrival date will be refunded if we can fill the vacancy. If we are unable to fill the vacancy, we will be happy to apply the deposit to a future stay but are unable to refund. Advance bookings are minimum 2 night's stay during peak season. Check In/ Out Please check in between 4pm and 7pm on day of arrival. Later check in may be arranged, but please contact us in advance. Check out is by 11am on day of departure.
