Languages Spoken: English and French. Breakfast Provided: Full. Breakfast will vary with the time of year, berries in season and requests from guests. However one thing is for sure! You will not leave hungry. A country breakfast may include Scottish oatcakes, potato pancakes, homemade French Toast with swirls of cinnamon and brown sugar baked right into the bread. All kinds of homemade preserves are also available to delight your palette. Area and Landmark: Cape Breton Island (A), Canso Causeway. Travel Time to Landmark: More than 2 hour drive. Air Conditioned: No. Adult Oriented: Yes. We cater to adults mainly because our chalet is not large. However, we will certainly consider every situation seperately. We are in the business of being good hosts and sometimes necessity takes precedent over "hardfast" rules! Smoking: No. Smoking is permitted outside on the deck and/or in designated areas. We hope that everyone can be respectful of each of our guests individual desires. However, please refrain from smoking very strong tobbaccos (such as cigars and pipes) because neither host smokes. Pet Policies: Pet(s) in Residence. Please tell us if you have pets when you call to confirm your reservations or book online. We may be able to accomodate you. Wheelchair Accessibility: No. Swimming Pool or Hot Tub: Swimming Pool. We hope to have our 24ft pool installed by the 2006 summer tourist season. It looks like the pool won't be ready until mid-July but we are trying for sooner... Our guests may use the pool until 11pm at night and from 6:30 am to 10:30 am. We have no lifeguards so children under 16 will not be permitted in the pool without a guardian.
