We are located near 3 of the best liberal arts colleges in the country: Bates College (25 minutes), Bowdoin College (25 minutes), and Colby College (1 hour).
History
Take a tour and visit the gift shop at Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village. Founded in 1783, it is the only remaining active Shaker community in the world (15 minutes).

Try your hand at an estate sale at the Cyr Auction Company (5 minutes).
For Children
The Maine Wildlife Park provides shelter to wild animals who have been orphaned or injured and can't return to the wild (10 minutes).
There are over 30 ACA accredited camps located within a 30 mile radius of the George Perley House.
