Each Fort Casey Inn house features patriotic memorabilia. Military accents are softened with furnishings and accessories with a gentler, feminine appeal. Evocative treasures adorn the homes such as postcards sent by soldiers overseas to their sweethearts at home. Each home sleeps 4 guests, has 2 bedrooms, a bath, living room, a large farm kitchen with breakfast area. Each home has a new cast-iron gas fireplace in the living room(does not include Eagles Nest). * Unit One features a queen bed, full bed and a twin bed, and an old fashioned tub in the bathroom. Unit One sleeps five. * Unit Two has a queen and 2 twin beds and a shower in the bathroom. * Unit Three has a queen and a full bed, the bathroom features a claw-foot tub. * Unit Four has one queen and one full bed and a shower in the bathroom. * Unit Five has a queen bed and two twin beds, and has a bath/shower.< * Unit Six has a queen and a full bed, the bathroom features a claw-foot tub. * Unit Seven has one queen bed and one full bed and a bath/shower. * Unit Eight has a queen, full bed and a twin, and a tile bathtub with shower. Unit 8 sleeps five. * Unit Ten, also referred to as the Doctor's House, has two queen beds and a shower/tub. * The Doctor's house enjoys the added privacy of being secluded from the other houses. * The Eagles Nest is a one room guest room and has a bath with a small claw-foot tub(no shower), and a queen German bed which features a quilt appliqued with an eagle and stars. The Eagles Nest has a mini refrigerator and coffee maker. The Eagles Nest has its own entrance on the westside of Garrison Hall. It looks out over the lawn and the greenbelt behind the inn. Fort Casey Inn is located just south of Coupeville, the county seat and the second oldest town in the entire state of Washington, with more than 100 buildings listed in the National Historic Register. The town's shopping areas and waterfront reflect the charm of bygone days. Friendly pubs, fine restaurants, and the Fort Casey Inn will make your trip a memorable one. Fort Casey neighbors the Inn and welcomes visitors to its battlements and the charming Admiralty Head Lighthouse. The fort's 10-inch "disappearing" guns are now aimed across the busy shipping lanes filled with freighters, tugboats, cruise ships and Naval ships. Don't miss beautiful Crockett Lake and Keystone Spit, adjacent to Fort Casey. Both abound with birds and marine life. Unforgettable vistas of water and mountains await. Walking trails to the beach and through the forest are accessible from your front door. In the summertime, enjoy the public outdoor heated pool at Camp Casey Conference Center next door. Make an morning or afternoon outing to historic Port Townsend. The Keystone/Port Townsend ferry is a 15 minute walk from the inn or 3 minutes by car. You don't need a car to explore Port Townsend, just walk on the ferry and walk off 30 minutes later and you are in the heart of Port Townsend. Other island attractions include nearby Ft. Ebey which protected Puget Sound from invasion. It now offers miles of hiking trails and stunning high-bluff views of Port Townsend and the Olympic Peninsula. Visitors flock to see the spectacular bridge and pass of Deception Pass State Park. Ala Spit provides stunning views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the San Juan Islands, and Vancouver Island. Greenbank and Greenbank Farm at the "waistline" of Whidbey Island, the home of historic Greenbank Country Store, Greenbank Loganberry Farm and Whidbey's Liqueur. Meerkerk Rhododendrons Gardens have 53 acres and miles of trails which provide color and serenity year round for nature and garden lovers.
