Niagara-on-the-Lake has been called Canada´s "prettiest town". Rich in history, the town dates back to the time of 1778, after the American Revolution, when United Empire Loyalists settled the area after the American Revolution. Historically William Street was a vital Military Road connecting Fort George at the mouth of the Niagara River to the military base in Hamilton.
On Queen Street, a four minute walk from DownHome, you´ll be able to view buildings dating back to the War of 1812. Now, they house unique shops and galleries for you to explore.
The Niagara Golf Club (opened in 1875), the oldest existing golf course in North America, is only six blocks away.
