This pioneer home was built in 1868 by a prominent Golden merchant and has operated as a B&B since 1984. Five rooms and three suites provide quiet comfort in historic downtown Golden. Two suites feature oversized whirlpool tubs and all three have romantic electric fireplaces. All guest rooms have queen or king beds, high-speed wireless access, coffee makers with complimentary coffee and tea, phones with free local calls, televisions with VCR or DVD, and air conditioning. We serve a hearty home-cooked breakfast each morning. The inn is walking distance from Colorado School of Mines, the Coors Brewery tours, the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum, the Foothills Art Center, and downtown Golden's dining, shopping, and other museums. Red Rocks Amphitheater and Park, the Colorado Railroad Museum, Buffalo Bill's Grave and Museum, as well as hiking and biking trails, are nearby. We are 13 miles from downtown Denver and a short drive to the mountains. Our inn is a great base from which to explore the Rocky Mountain region.
