Welcome to our Nova Scotia accommodation, country inn and bed and breakfast facility in the historic town of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Sit and relax, photograph our farm animals or walk along the banks of the Roseway River, Shelburne County, Nova Scotia. There is something for every member of the family at Shady Pines.
Shady Pines Farm and Country Inn opened in June, 2002 after more than a year of meticulous planning by the owners and innkeepers Mark and Rhonda Henneberry of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. The country inn is only an hour's drive from the Cat and Scotia Prince ferry terminal in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, carrying passengers and vehicles to Bar Harbour and Portland, Maine.
The inn is a spacious, new log home built by Nova Scotia craftsmen. The living area is your first introduction to the inn. The room features a beautiful birch floor, cathedral ceiling, large comfortable sofas and chairs leading to a huge deck overlooking the pastoral landscape of the farm, the gardens and the river. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the deck anytime of the day for a quiet read, a bit of sketching or a little bird watching. Rest and relax until a spectacular sunset bids you a goodnight! And, by the way, evening tea is included with your room at Shady Pines. The popular social affair includes tea or coffee and a homemade dessert.
