We want to take you back to the time when a visit to the country was a trip to Grandma's house out on the farm in the early 1950's.... A time for peaceful walks and exploring the natural mysteries around the next bend in the trail. An idyllic rural setting just perfect for idling away the afternoon - where the only sounds you hear are the chickadees and the wind in the trees.. And on the table? Nothing but pure homemade goodness.
Country Quarters Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place for a farm vacation stay or your family's vacation home. Country Quarters Bed and Breakfast is a three bedroom house used exclusively by our guests. The furniture and furnishings are 1940's vintage, many of them our own family treasures and each with its own story.
Our farm is in the heart of the gently rolling Interlake region in central Manitoba, Canada. Surrounded by spruce and aspen forests in one of Manitoba's most scenic vacation areas, it is a true four season destination.
Your host is Glen Nicoll, writer, farmer, and jack of a few other trades. Meals feature local produce. Hearty breakfasts include our own all-beef sausage, stacks of homemade pancakes and old fashioned baking powder biscuits. Lighter selections can include delicious fruit bowls and specialty breads. Various menus are available for lunches and suppers - either for individuals or small groups - and can be made with advance notice.
On bike or on foot, cross country skis or showshoes, there is something for everyone to enjoy in the beautiful rural setting that is Country Quarters.
