Castlebury Inn
615 Washington Street
Cannelton, Indiana

The CASTLEBURY INN was built in 1867. It is located in the Historic section of old Cannelton, Indiana, just 4 blocks from the Indiana Cotton Mill, which is a National Historical Landmark. All of this beauty and rich Indiana history is located on the banks of the mighty Ohio River. Enjoy the Pure Elegance of Six Victorian Guest Rooms with Private Baths or the Ambiance of Our Floral and Gift Shop in the Heart of the Cannelton Historic District. Each Guest Room is lavishly decorated from owner Judy Shaw's search for the perfect furniture and accessories. You feel as though your have fallen into a world of Victorian class and style. From the moment you enter the Castlebury Inn, the decor will move you to another era. The ornate desk of French design dates back over 200 years. A mid 1800's couch is stuffed with horsehair and retains its original covering. Much of the decor holds the history of other Cannelton structures, including the staircase from the former Cannel House, the oldest home in town.
