Welcome to the Captain Bennett House, one of Maine's coastal B&B with a wonderful harbor view. Known for it's delicious home made breakfast of Breakfast Casserole,Omelets Stuffed French Toast, Crepes, Blueberry Nut Pancake, and assorted home made breakfast pastries. Our rooms are tastefully done in different themes and all offer private bathrooms with showers. The Guests Living Room offers fresh coffee each morning at 7am and in the afternoon after 3 pm with pastries. It's also an area to plan your activities for the day or just rest after a busy day.
Captain Bennett House is within walking distance from quaint shops and restaurants and museums. Enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking and day boat cruises. We are located in the middle of Mount Desert Island in Southwest Harbor and minutes from Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain and the Carriage Trail for hiking or biking. We offer a Special for guests booking all 5 rooms for a week. It's renting a house for a week, but we do the cooking for breakfast, cleaning of rooms. You have use of the Bar-B-Q grill in the evening. Call for more information.
