The Candlelite Inn located in beautiful Bradford, New Hampshire. It was built in 1897 by Charles Gillis as a guest home. It has entertained generations of New Hampshire visitors throughout the years and was voted the 2001 Inn of the Year by the readers of Pamela Lanier's travel guide, The Complete Guide to Bed & Breakfasts, Inns & Guesthouses. The Inn was also placed in the Congressional Record for their achievements in the hospitality field; and was voted as the 2006 Editor's Choice for Yankee Magazine's Travel Guide. This fine Victorian structure shows graceful detail, such as the gazebo porch that is perfect for sipping lemonade on a lazy summer day and the parlor that can warm a winter afternoon with its warm cozy fire. The parlor invites guests to sit with a hot cup of apple cider and relax with a good book while the snow falls.

The Candlelite Inn has four luxurious and individually decorated rooms and two suites. Each room is complete with a queen size bed and private bath and offers the weary traveler a relaxed atmosphere, numerous amenities and scrumptious breakfast with dessert. Throughout the Inn you will see many fine crafts, such as quilts on the beds and walls, cross-stitch pillows and pictures, and tole painting on wall hangings and table top decorations. Wake up to the aromatic smells coming from the Inn's kitchen as we freshly prepare your 3 course breakfast - down to dessert. Homemade jellies and jams, freshly baked muffins and breads, tantalizing entrees and mouth watering cobblers, pies and tarts. Breakfast is served in our lovely Sun Room overlooking the pond. Candlelite Inn is nestled on three-plus acres of countryside in the valley of the Lake Sunapee Region. The Inn is within minutes to ski areas, restaurants, hunting, fishing, boating, summer playhouse, concerts, antiquing, flea markets, barn sales, and auctions. The Sunapee, NH area also offers tennis, golf courses, shopping centers, boat excursions plus all the beautiful scenery that New Hampshire has to offer.

Recreation abounds in every season with lake activities taking center stage each summer. Dinner cruises on Lake Sunapee, water skiing, canoeing and swimming at area state beaches.
