By the Sea Inn & Spa is housed in a 19th century Victorian mansion renovated to accommodate the operating needs of a modern day inn and spa. Although updated and upgraded to embody every cultural convenience of the 21st century, all 7200 square feet of this landmark building remain in a bastion of New England charm.
Refinished parquet floors and paneled wood doors shine like glass; working fireplaces dominate and radiate the lounge and reading room; a magnificent floor-to-ceiling gilded mirror casts a glance at each passer-by; and the numerous hallways and staircases allow clients of both the Inn and Spa to move separately about.
