The Briars offers countless recreational options. Spend some time in the exercise suite and game rooms, then relax in the solarium pool, whirlpool, and sauna. Of course, Lake Simcoe provides a wealth of water activity all year, ranging from paddle boating, canoeing, and kayaking in warm weather to ice skating in the cold of winter. Nearby ice fishing is available at an additional charge, as are warm-weather cruises. And no matter the weather, there is a 50-acre nature reserve, wonderful gardens, woods, and fields to explore. Dining... The dining room at The Briars serves three scrumptious meals daily throughout the year. A table d'hote menu, including appetizers, entree, and dessert, is offered for lunch and dinner. The menus change daily, and meals are prepared with seasonal produce and herbs from the on-site garden. The adjacent lounge, Drinkwaters, serves snacks and light meals (not included in packages) from 11:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. daily. In the summer, the Summer Dining Room offers a breakfast and lunch buffet, and on Wednesdays you may join fellow guests for a barbecue in the Inn's Fountain Court Patio.
