Welcome to our peaceful bed & breakfast retreat by the sea....elegant century Island farmhouse filled with antiques and romantic country charm.
Briarcliffe Inn is the perfect spot for those looking for a little solitude. Situated at the end of the road near the shore of Salutation Cove, you'll hear nothing but quiet. Many of our guests tell us they've never felt more relaxed, better fed or gotten such a sound sleep than at our 4 1/2 star bed and breakfast.
Briarcliffe Inn was originally built in 1914 and was one of the first bed and breakfasts on the Island. Until the mid-50's, it was known as Briarcliffe Tourist Home and Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables was a frequent visitor after teaching at the nearby Lower Bedeque School.
