At the Beach with Friends is a Bed & Breakfast Inn in Hilo, Hawaii. Hilo is the second largest city in Hawaii and is located on the East side of the Big Island. We are located a convenient ten minutes from the airport, restaurants, shopping and historic Downtown Hilo.
Our house and gardens were designed and built to be shared, with comfort and privacy in mind. The separate guest wing affords ocean views across a tidal pond filled with local fish, colorful koi, ducks, and the occasional wild heron. If you need to plug in your lap top and answer your email or check in with clients by phone you can do so tropical style in a room with a view.
The tropical garden has places to relax and enjoy the seaside atmosphere. Talk story, play fetch a coconut with the dog, and watch people, boats, whales and dolphins. Take a nap in a hammock under a palm tree, or a long leisurely walk and meet the neighbors. In Hawaii, we call it "living the lifestyle."
