It's hard to believe this peaceful country setting is only 2 1/2 miles from I-40, minutes away from Carson Newman College, a half hour from the University of Tennessee and downtown Knoxville, close to Morristown, Newport, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and about forty-five minutes from Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains.
The Original main house is a log home of at least, Pre-Civil War vintage. We have taken a very basic farmer's house and turned it into a Southern Gentleman's Home. We exposed log walls, handmade brick fireplaces, hand-hewn doors and kept and incorporated anything and everything possible of the original structure. The Dairy House, located across the driveway, was the actual building in which the cows were milked. Both buildings have been added to and updated to a "Modern Traditional" state.
The Barrington Inn not only offers superb dining (please see our menu on the restaurant page)and splendid accommodations, but now also presents the luxury of spa and beauty treatments. Pamper your lady with permanent make up performed by a nationally certified, derma pigmentation specialist. Facials, mud wraps, body waxing, manicures, pedicures, message therapy, tanning (either in a traditional booth and/or the latest tanning technic...body air brush, with no ultra violet rays) along with hair cuts, perms, coloring.....all now available. Packages and gift certificates can make the most appreciated present!! Private parties for brunch, lunch or dinner are also available for ten or more, on other days of the week.
