Shady Lane Bed & Breakfast was so named because of the many beautiful trees on the property. It is a "Bird Lovers" paradise. The house is of Southern Colonial design and was the official residence of Mayor Hensley, the 2nd Mayor of Berea. Situated in a secluded area, it provides privacy and relaxation. Berea is conveniently located on Interstate 75. It is the home of Berea College and the Boone Tavern. Berea has the distinction of being the Folk Art & Craft Capital of Kentucky. It is home to many craft and antique shops with working artisans. All of these are within walking distance. Indian Fort Park, 3 miles east of Berea, is ideal for hiking.
