Aurora View Inn on the Mountain
2917 Jackson Road
Juneau, Alaska

Enjoy full panoramic views of Juneau and the Gastineau channel in deluxe accommodations at the Aurora View Inn on the Mountain. The Inn is situated directly across the Channel from downtown Juneau, at the highest point to which you can drive in Juneau, at the 835 ft. elevation of Mt. Troy on Douglas Island. The view is so picturesque that tour companies have our neighborhood on their scenic tour stops. Out your backdoor you might see your nearest neighbors, porcupine, deer, visiting hummingbirds and an occasional black bear. We are backed up against 35,000 acres of the beautiful Tongass National Forest and Mountains. In the late 1800's and early 1900's part of the Tongass National Forest was the Old Boston Lode Mining Claim. Enjoy hiking the famed Treadwell Mining and Dan Moeller Trails within just minutes walking distance from the Inn. You have all this solitude and privacy but are still only a 3 minute drive from downtown.
